Competition Wax - Laboratory Products

STAR offers a wide range of products for shops and laboratories that prepare skis for recreational and professional use. All our waxes are odorless when heated and applied according to the temperature indicated and can be used in small working areas.


RACING BASE & PREP is a new revolutionary product developed for protecting and preparing ski bases. This mix of synthetic wax and short chain fluoro polymers drastically reduces oxidation of ski bases caused by contact with atmospheric agents. 

BP100 is an excellent cover wax after work with a grinding stone or during inactivity period. This special formulation maintains constant characteristics for a prolonged working time, therefore is indicated for use when testing skis with STAR CRONO-TEST. The periodic use of RACING BASE & PREP makes skis faster, and inhibits signs of wear.

HOT BOX RACING BASE &PREP is a mix of natural and synthetic waxes specifically developed for saturating ski bases in a temperature controlled room. This low viscosity prep product liquifies at 55°C, and therefore guarantees excellent base penetration.
HB200/LAB • 4 x 250 g • 0°C / -15°C
MAP BLACK, the most used and famous graphite prep wax used for preparing ski bases in very cold snow conditions, is now available in one kilo packaging for laboratory use.
