In 1982, after over one year of research and testing, STAR SKI WAX officially presented to the winter sport world its first line of cross-country waxes. From that beginning, we knew it would not be easy to convince skiers to test something new; waxes that were produced and selected with an absolutely scientific method. We had eliminated the “mystery atmoshpere” that surrounded the crosscountry world, and worked hard to gain consumer confidence.
With the first enthusiastic results at international competitions, we knew we were on the right track and we could achieve important goals.
The new skating technique, adopted on the international circuit, permitted us to introduce our scientific testing method with electronic equipment to the alpine and nordic racing world, and it was possible to continue perfecting the quality of our wax line. Now, 25 years later, we still have the enthusiasm to continue researching and developing new and different solutions.
The same technological attitude that has accompanied us in the past, has permitted us to develop a new family of electronically controlled waxing irons and our new carbon fibre poles have unique characteristics. These new products place us at the “apex” in the winter sport world, and are the proof that hard work and enthusiasm, which accompanied us this past quarter of a century, will always render.
